Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting on the implementation of the President's instructions in the field of tourism

Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting on the progress of implementing instructions of the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in the tourism sector.

Reports were heard from Deputy Prime Minister Yermek Kosherbayev and Minister of Tourism and Sports Yerbol Myrzabosynov on the situation on the coast of Lake Alakol, as well as on the organization of summer recreation and conditions created in the country's tourist areas, including issues of tourist infrastructure, service, and safety.

The Prime Minister instructed regional governors and ministers to intensify their efforts. A number of instructions were given.

To coordinate the work on the prompt elimination of the comments made by the Head of State, Deputy Prime Minister Yermek Kosherbayev and Minister of Tourism and Sports Yerbol Myrzabosynov are moving to the regions. Based on the results, a proposal will be made to bring the guilty officials to justice.

In addition, the meeting discussed the development of the Almaty Mountain Cluster. This project is included in the list of key investment initiatives. The initial stage will involve infrastructure work, including the construction of power lines, sewage systems, gas supply systems, and roads, as well as the improvement of adjacent areas and, more broadly, the creation of conditions for the formation of a world-class resort. The project also provides for the development of summer infrastructure, the introduction of sustainable development principles, digital environmental monitoring, and ensuring the inclusiveness of facilities.
