The Government is updating the master plan for the development of the Almaty Mountain Cluster

During a government meeting on the implementation of measures outlined in the State of the Nation Address-2025 of the President, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov emphasised that local executive bodies are directly responsible for developing infrastructure at tourist sites.

The Prime Minister instructed that the master plan for the development of the Almaty Mountain Cluster be updated on an urgent basis.

"The Ministry of National Economy, together with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports and the Almaty City Mayor Administration, shall, within a week, recognize the projects of the Comprehensive Plan for the Development of the Almaty Mountain Cluster as critically important facilities and projects of national significance.

After that, submit the Comprehensive Plan for the Development of the Almaty Mountain Cluster to the Republican Budget Commission for consideration," said Olzhas Bektenov.

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports, along with the regional authorities, has also been instructed to draw up a plan for the privatization of football clubs by October 1 of this year.
