No Red Book-listed trees found on the site of the future Almaty SuperSki resort

Representatives of the Ile-Alatau State National Natural Park, together with specialists from Giprolezkhoz-KZ LLP, conducted a detailed forest pathology survey of the territory of the future Almaty SuperSki resort in the Kok-Zhailau tract.

Specialists recorded the coordinates, species, and sanitary condition of the trees, and identified which ones fall within the impact zone of the planned infrastructure. This approach allows decisions to be made based on precise data.

Key finding: no trees listed in the Red Book of Kazakhstan were found within the Almaty SuperSki project area.

A differentiated approach is applied to green plantations: some trees within the construction zone will be transplanted, while trees in poor sanitary condition will undergo sanitary felling with compensatory planting.

Based on the survey results, a compensatory landscaping plan will be developed, along with a framework for the project's ongoing environmental monitoring.

It is worth noting that during the public hearings held on May 26, 2026, particular attention was given to environmental issues and the preservation of natural balance.

The developer of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) presented the results of environmental studies to the public, along with the planned environmental protection measures and mechanisms for environmental monitoring and control.
