Kazakh Tourism Development has signed an agreement with the internationally renowned company PGI, which will act as a consultant for the Almaty Superski project.

PGI, which has many years of experience in the design, development, and management of world-class ski resorts, will support the Almaty Superski project as a consultant. The agreement between Kazakh Tourism Development and PGI was signed in Astana.
Founded in 1957 in Andorra, PGI specializes in the strategic development of ski resorts, marketing, operations management, and consulting. During this time, PGI has participated in the implementation of more than 120 resorts, including all-season resorts, in more than 20 countries on four continents.
PGI is uniquely positioned to provide international expertise in the design and management of ski infrastructure. The company has experience covering the entire project life cycle.
The Almaty Superski project is set to become a key element of the Almaty Mountain Cluster (AMC) and a catalyst for growth in the region's tourism industry. It is expected to generate around 5,000 new work places, while the development of the AMC as a whole will provide over 10,000 jobs, increase tax revenues and tourist numbers, and enhance Almaty's international reputation as a year-round destination for active leisure.
It should be noted that PGI has a successful track record of implementing projects in countries with some of the most stringent environmental standards, such as France, Spain, and Andorra. The company will bring this experience to Kazakhstan, ensuring the implementation of the best international practices in sustainable development and minimizing the impact on the mountain region's natural environment.
The scope of the company's work will include the coordination of design and survey work, during which special attention will be paid to the monitoring, evaluation, and validation of all design solutions in accordance with international best practices and the current regulations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Special attention will be given to improving spatial planning and functional zoning. The basis will be taken into account the needs of public infrastructure and technical requirements related to skiing, hiking, mountain biking routes, etc.
