Statement by the Chief Executive Officer of Kazakh Tourism Development, E. Yerkinbayev

A video showing trees that have been cut down is circulating on social media, accompanied by claims that the footage was allegedly filmed within the area where the Almaty SuperSki project is being implemented.

I officially declare: this information is not true. The site shown in the video is neither part of the Almaty SuperSki project area nor part of Kok-Zhailau. As of today, not a single tree has been cut down as part of the project.

I call on the authors of these posts and social media users not to disseminate unverified information. I remind you that the law provides for criminal and administrative liability for the dissemination of knowingly false information.

Kazakh Tourism Development is open to constructive dialogue and is ready to provide accurate information on the progress of the project.
